The Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Grant (formerly known as the Ultrasound Bursary) was established by ACEM in 2012 from surplus funds and donations from the 2009 World Ultrasound Conference.
Its purpose is to foster the development of ultrasound in emergency medicine by providing monetary support for emergency medicine ultrasound research projects, which may include research or learning projects.
The winner of the grant will be presented with a citation in acknowledgement of the grant at the College Ceremony held in the year the grant is made.
Grant funds may not be used to acquire office equipment such as personal computers, laptop computers, tablets, smart phones, facsimile machines, photocopiers etc unless the recipient has obtained, in writing, the prior express approval of the ACEM Foundation.
