ACEM has partnered with the NSW Environment Protection Authority to assess the impact of climate-related events on NSW emergency departments, as well as taking a greater look at what EDs and hospitals across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand are doing in regard to sustainability practices.
Climate change is impacting on the determinants of good health – clean air, secure shelter, safe drinking water and food availability. These impacts will worsen as temperatures rise.
ACEM has created an action plan that aligns with the College’s strategic vision for action against climate change.
