ACEM Foundation

Established in 2012, the ACEM Foundation contributes philanthropically towards three pillars: Emergency Medicine Research, International Emergency Medicine and Supporting Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Māori doctors undertaking emergency medicine training.

ACEM Regulations

The ACEM Regulations pertain to the conduct and management of the College and form the basis of decisions made by the ACEM Board.

College accreditation

ACEM is accredited by the Australian Medical Council (AMC) on behalf of the Medical Board of Australia (MBA) and the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) to deliver specialist medical education and training, and professional development programs.

Our Constitution

ACEM is governed by the principles outlined in our Constitution. The Constitution was adopted on 15 November 2009, replacing the former Memorandum and Articles of Association, which were established at the College’s inception in 1984. The most recent amendments to the Constitution were approved in November 2019.

What is emergency medicine?

Emergency medicine is a medical specialty that equips physicians with the knowledge and skills required to care for patients with very urgent healthcare needs.
