The College has committed to two key action plans that will help enact meaningful cultural change in the College and in emergency departments.
The Expert Advisory Group (EAG) on Discrimination Action Plan details the actions the College will take in responding to the recommendations of the EAG.
The Discrimination, Bullying and Sexual Harassment (DBSH) Action Plan looks at the wider issue of DBSH in the speciality of Emergency Medicine.
Both action plans were released in February 2018. The Diversity and Inclusion Steering Group will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the DBSH Action Plan, while the EAG Implementation Steering Group will monitor the implementation of the actions outlined in the EAG Action Plan. Both entities will report directly to the Board.
Expressions of Interest for membership of both Steering Groups will open Friday 2 March 2018.
