Board members are elected and appointed for a period of two years in line with the processes set out in the ACEM Constitution and associated Regulations. The Board meets generally six times a year and holds an Annual General Meeting of members every November.


President: Dr Peter Allely

Peter has served on the ACEM Board since November 2024 and commenced his Presidency in November 2025.He serves as President until the date of the 2027 Annual General Meeting of the College.

Immediate Past President: Dr Stephen Gourley

Stephen served as the ACEM President from November 2023 to November 2025. He holds office on the ACEM Board as Immediate Past President until the date of the 2026 Annual General Meeting of the College.
Chair of CAPP: Associate Professor Belinda Hibble

Belinda has served on the ACEM Board since November 2023. She holds office until the date of the 2027 Annual General Meeting of the College.
Chair of Council of Education/Censor-in-Chief: Dr Kate Field

Kate has served on the ACEM Board since November 2022. She holds office until the date of the 2026 Annual General Meeting of the College.
National Member (Aotearoa New Zealand): Dr Kate Allan

Kate was appointed to the ACEM Board in November 2025. She holds office until the 2026 Annual General Meeting of the College.
FACEM General Member: Professor Didier Palmer

Didier has served on the ACEM Board since November 2017. He served as CAPP Chair from 2017-2023, prior to being appointed as a General FACEM member. He holds office until the 2027 Annual General Meeting of the College.
FACEM General Member: Dr Shantha Raghwan

Shantha has served on the ACEM Board since November 2025. She holds office until the 2027 Annual General Meeting of the College.
Trainee Member: Dr Kush Wangoo

Kush has served on the ACEM Board since November 2024. He holds office until the 2026 Annual General Meeting of the College.
Non-FACEM Board Member (Finance): Mr Craig Hodges

Craig has served on the ACEM Board since October 2020. He holds office until the 2026 Annual General Meeting of the College.
Non-FACEM Board Member (Legal): Ms Libby Pallot

Libby has served on the ACEM Board since October 2020. She holds office until the 2026 Annual General Meeting of the College.
Community Member: Ms Samantha Beattie

Sam was appointed to the ACEM Board in February 2026. She holds office until the 2027 Annual General Meeting of the College.
