ICEM 2022, which runs from the 14th to the 19th of June at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, will host a wide range of international participants. This will include 130 emergency clinicians from over thirty countries whose participation is supported by the Low-and middle-income country (LMIC) Delegate Subsidisation Scheme (LDSS).
The conference, the first in several years due to restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, will host presentations from hundreds of international experts on advances in research, trauma, paediatrics, toxicology, aged care, care systems and other topics related to emergency medicine and public health systems.
ICEM 2022 Conference Convenor Dr Simon Judkins said, “Right now, there are significant challenges facing emergency medicine, health systems across the globe and, of course, the health of the planet, that require collaboration and courage to solve.”
“There has never been a more important time for clinicians of the world to come together, learn from each other, and collectively determine the way forward for the continued development of emergency medicine internationally.”
The final LDSS fund equated to over $100,000 in sponsorships and donations, with funds contributed by ACEM and delegate donors, and support for Pacific region delegates provided by the Australian Volunteers Program, SPC, St Vincent’s Pacific Health Fund and Therapeutic Guidelines.
