More info for trainees More info about accreditation

The College has released a video of ACEM Censor-in-Chief Kate Field explaining Training Stage 4 in the revised Training Program to help trainees and sites seeking accreditation to better understand what the change means for them.

In response to feedback, particularly from new FACEMs, the final stage of training has been refocused on development and consolidation of management and leadership skills to better prepare trainees for independent practice as a consultant.

The assessment and requirements aim to ensure that trainees will be competent and confident in operational management of the floor through a focus on developing relevant skills and gaining necessary experience.

This means Training Stage 4 is slightly different from other stages and there are specific accreditation requirements that must be met. Due to this, it impacts not just the trainees but the sites that are seeking accreditation.

The College encourages everyone to take the time to watch the video to better understand Training Stage 4 and how it might impact you and the sites that you work in.

Trainees with any questions can contact [email protected], while sites can email [email protected].
