Emergency healthcare professionals are encouraged to join the ACEM CPD Program for access to a wealth of educational activities and events, as well as the support needed to meet requirements set by regulators.
The mission of ACEM is to promote excellence in clinical diagnosis, research and education with the ultimate goal of ensuring quality care for patients. This statement aims to provide some guidance and recommendations regarding the use of hand-held ultrasound devices in hospital emergency departments in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
Cultural awareness is a critical part of successful patient care, which is why ACEM established the Indigenous Health and Cultural Competency (IHCC) program.
PEMN aims to build a community that supports and advocates for optimal paediatric care in all emergency departments, through collaboration, education and implementation of best evidence.
Updated: 15 Nov 2024 ACEM is upgrading Moodle, which facilitates the Educational Resources site. While this upgrade primarily enhances the security and long-term maintainability of the platform, there will also be improvements to functionality. This page will be updated regularly to keep you informed of the progress.
Community Members play an important role in contributing to ACEM's work in education, training, standard setting, policy and advocacy. We welcome your expression of interest in becoming a Community Member with us.
ACEM recommends that at least one FACEM is rostered on-call at night (for annual presentations of approx. 15000). ACEM makes further recommendations on the number of non-FACEM senior decision makers that should be present overnight. ACEM does not support the introduction of night shift rosters for specialist emergency physicians.
ACEM Fellows have the opportunity to contribute to the positive development of their profession by getting involved in a number of opportunities across the college, ranging from advocacy to education.
