Specialist Assessment is the assessment of your international emergency medicine specialist qualifications, training, and experience, as comparable to a newly elected Fellow of ACEM (FACEM).
We seek to understand our emergency medicine workforce, the patient journey and outcomes, and to what extent our training programs are meeting the needs of trainees, patients and employers.
The FACEM Training Program includes structured training and education, work-place based assessments, research requirements and examinations.
ACEM supports the National Mental Health Safety Priorities National Safety Priorities in Mental Health Queensland Government Consultation with recommendations to improve the quality and safety of mental health care in EDs, mental health access block, guidelines around using restrictive practices and models for acute mental healthcare.
We recommend the use of imaging when required for exclusion of other pathology from the differential diagnosis; when required to identify the cause of sudden deterioration in a patient; portable chest radiography preferentially over patient movement to radiology where possible.
