As a College we are deeply distressed by a reported violent incident at the North West Regional Hospital. Our thoughts are with our injured colleague, their family and loved ones.
While New Zealand had done very well in its suppression of COVID-19, ACEM, RNZCGP and RNZCUC have issued a joint statement, welcoming the Government’s swift action following confirmation of New Zealand’s first positive cases of COVID-19 community transmission on 11 August 2020.
ACEM is disappointed that the referendum about whether to change the Constitution to recognise the First Peoples of Australia by establishing a body called the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice did not pass.
