ACEM President John Bonning says:
‘We need to know more about how and where these infections are occurring. This needs to include greater transparency and reporting of official data.
‘All healthcare workers have a right to be safe at work, and this must be at the very top of the priority list. We need the best protection available, and consistent PPE guidelines and supply, including N95 masks and face shields.
‘This is an incredibly difficult time for our healthcare workforce, who must be given every resource and support needed to get through this. We welcome community support and ask that people please, please do their bit to stop the spread and keep us all safe.
