The Medevac law is Commonwealth legislation which deals specifically with the medical transfer of refugees and people seeking asylum from offshore processing to Australia.

The Medevac law states that applications can be made to the Minister for patients in offshore processing to be transferred for medical treatment.

A group of volunteer doctors are working to process the applications.
