Emergency telehealth is a rapidly expanding field in emergency medicine and offers different models of care – each encompassing varying levels of risk.
In this webinar we will explore the types of services currently operating across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand and consider some of the medico-legal conundrums we encounter during telehealth consultations. We will also discuss interesting cases through a medico-legal lens.
We are delighted to welcome Dr Owen Bradfield, Chief Medical Officer at the Medical Indemnity Protection Society, a doctor and health lawyer. He will share his extensive experience and offer valuable insights into some controversial areas of emergency telehealth.
We will also hear from Dr Kim Hansen, Clinical Director of Virtual Emergency Care Service, Queensland Health, who will share her experience in dealing with victims of domestic violence via telehealth.
Please join the ACEM ETN Executive and colleagues from around the world for a stimulating 90-minute interactive discussion. There will also be opportunity for audience participants to share cases for collective discussion and learning.
