Mentoring is an important learning and development strategy for emergency physicians. ACEM is committed to embedding a culture of mentoring in emergency medicine. Mentor Connect and ACEM’s mentoring resources have been specifically developed to support emergency physicians as mentees, mentors and program coordinators.

The ACEM Mentoring Program (known as Mentor Connect) has been established as part of the implementation of the College’s Discrimination, Bullying and Sexual Harassment (DBSH) Action Plan. By embracing mentoring, the emergency medicine profession will institute and support healthy workplace cultures, leadership, and professionalism in emergency medicine. Mentor Connect aims to connect members and trainees with an emergency medicine colleague outside their immediate jurisdiction.

“I particularly liked the matching process with the options, mentor bios and interest areas.”
