As with all training terms, planning a special skills term in GEC well in advance gives you the best chance at a supported, safe and successfully accredited term. There are many possible global health work environments and a pool of GEC FACEMs happy to provide advice and mentoring.
Great mentors are FACEMs who know you, have worked with you and understand your capabilities, limitations and interests. If you do not currently have a mentor with GEC experience, the GEC Desk can put you in contact with potential supervisors and mentors for GEC terms.
For further information please contact the GEC Desk at [email protected] or refer to the GEC Special Skills Placement Guidelines.
