Eligibility: Distinguished members of the medical profession or other eminent individuals who are not members of the medical profession.
Purpose: Individuals who have substantially contributed to emergency medicine or the College.
Award: Honorary lifetime Fellowship to the College
Number of Awards available: Maximum of two per year. Council of Advocacy, Practice and Partnerships and Council of Education are each eligible for one nomination per year.

Nominating an individual for an Honorary Fellowship

To nominate an individual for an Honorary Fellowship, you may write a letter of nomination to the ACEM Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO and the ACEM Board will consider the nomination. The letter of nomination must include:
- Signatures from at least three people wishing to nominate the individual, or by the chair of a College entity
- If appropriate, a letter of support from the CAPP or COE
- A detailed curriculum vitae of the nominee, containing biographical details, information on appointments, membership of learned societies (and office held), and a list of publications and other supporting information.
