Mark grew up in Sydney and then regional NSW before leaving home to study at Melbourne University. He fell under the influence of Joe Epstein and Anne-Maree Kelly as a medical student and intern and has worked in and around emergency medicine ever since.
After ten rewarding years at Bendigo Hospital he returned to Melbourne to take up the role of Director of Emergency Services at RMH in 2018.
Outside of work he tries to balance his good habits (running, cycling, reading, cooking) with his bad ones (no comment), and is delighting in guiding his three children into adulthood with the woman he met on rotation to Wangaratta hospital nearly thirty years ago.
