Kate attended the University of Otago Medical School and spent three years working in Emergency Medicine in London before returning to her home town of Auckland, to complete her Emergency Medicine Specialist training. She has been Associate Clinical Director of Emergency Medicine at North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals in Auckland since 2015 and continues to work clinically across both sites.

Kate remains passionate about the challenge of Emergency Medicine. She particularly enjoys the variety and unpredictability of clinical presentations. As a clinical leader she is an advocate for both colleagues and patients. Kate is motivated and inspired by our ongoing challenge to deliver compassionate quality care, while maintaining an environment that feeds a thriving culture of staff wellbeing in the workplace.
