In this lively role, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and flawless execution of key College events, ensuring they meet the highest standards of delivery. Working collaboratively with the Events Unit, you will manage a diverse portfolio, including the Annual Scientific Meeting, the Biennial Winter Symposium, ACEM College Ceremonies, webinars, and other educational offerings.
Leading the end-to-end delivery of these events, you will provide strategic oversight, delegate tasks effectively, and support the Event Coordinator to ensure smooth operations. Your expertise in contract negotiation, sponsorship management, and supplier coordination will be critical in delivering successful events that enhance the College’s reputation and engagement.
This position is based in Melbourne, with travel required to support events across various locations in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. We are seeking a highly organised individual that thrives in a fast paced environment, bringing a proactive and solution focused approach to event management. - Experience with managing complex, multifaceted events with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven ability to guide and support staff to achieve excellence.
- Expertise in stakeholder engagement, both internal and external, ensuring collaborative and effective event outcomes.
- Exceptional organisational and problem solving abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- Experience with EventsAir or similar Event Management Software platforms.
- Strong financial and risk management capabilities, ensuring events are completed within budget and compliance frameworks.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, best practice event management, and promoting a positive team culture.
