This Policy aims to ensure that emergency clinical and support staff have appropriate internet access in the emergency department. This will enable access to online resources that are essential for clinical practice and education, including those provided by ACEM on its website.
To ensure adequate experience in generalist medicine, junior doctors must be exposed to a wide spectrum of acute and undifferentiated illness. This is best obtained by a period of training in emergency medicine. The complex nature of emergency medical care means that junior doctors need extensive support/oversight to function safely.
The Workforce Wellbeing Network is a community of practice that has been formed to develop, support, educate, research and advocate for the wellbeing of ACEM trainees, members and College employees.
