Concerns about amendments to the Western Australia Guardianship & Administration Amendment Medical Research Bill 2018, in Research and Emergency Situations. Suggestion that research without consent should be retained in situations of medical and surgical care in major trauma, severe injuries, cardiac arrest and other acute conditions.

Review of the Clinical Governance of Public Mental Health Services, WA

Recommendations and reform for the care of mental patients in Western Australia including; merge governance of hospital and MH services under one system, install and enforce timelines, adopt new models of care to improve co-ordination and continuity such as after-hours support, increase funding and expand acute psychiatric services.

All hospitals and health services should have a pandemic plan, which includes all aspects of the health service including emergency departments (EDs) and critical care areas.
