This qualification is suited to and intended for PGY3+ doctors working as part of the team in an emergency department as a senior decision maker, provides clinical support, and builds upon the knowledge and skills gained during the Associateship in Intermediate Emergency Medicine (IEMTP) .
Global Emergency Care (GEC), integrates emergency care with the field of global health incorporating clinical service provision, capacity building and health systems strengthening for time-sensitive healthcare. It includes development activities as well as aspects of disaster health, humanitarian assistance and surge response.
ACEM made a submission on the draft National Stigma and Discrimination Reduction Strategy to provide context and detail of how the under resourced mental health system, and ED access block contributes to people presenting with mental health concerns experiencing discrimination and stigma when seeking the support they need.
