Tom is a Senior Registrar at Waikato Hospital in New Zealand. He grew up in Sydney and completed degrees in science and medicine ahead of moving to Alice Springs as a junior doctor. Not content with civilian life, he joined the Australian military and deployed to Afghanistan. After completing a Fellowship in General Practice, he still had an itch for Emergency Medicine that needed to be scratched.

After completing his early training in Darwin, he moved to New Zealand where he has recently completed his Fellowship exams.

His biggest achievement is being married to his wife Pip and raising two boys who are uncontrollable but very happy.

Tom served as the NT Trainee Representative on the ACEM Trainee Committee prior to being elected to the Board in 2022.

He enjoys the mountains of New Zealand with his young family in his spare time.
