Guardianship and Administration Act 1990 WA

ACEM proposed amendments to the Western Australia Guardianship & Administration Act 1990 to provide options to waive or give abbreviated verbal consent (for initiation of care followed by formal consent processes), to continue or withdraw research participation (once medically stabilised), proxy (next of kin), or delayed/deferred consent.

Policy on Organ and Tissue Donation

This Policy outlines the responsibilities of emergency physicians within the organ and tissue donation process. The principles accord with the Best Practice Guideline for Offering Organ and Tissue Donation in Australia. The Policy does not give clinical advice on donor identification, management or assessment for medical suitability.
