The Australian Medical Council has two short term pathways for overseas trained specialists and EM trainees: Short Term Training Pathway and Area of Need Pathway.

The Medical Board of Australia is updating the Guidelines for Telehealth Consultations with Patients. The Guidelines had not been updated since 2013 and required revision in light of the rise of telehealth due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
