The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), working with the Medical Board of Australia (MBA), is preparing to undertake audits of compliance with mandatory registration standards. Auditees will be selected randomly and notified by mail.

We understand this process will be an audit of:

  • Criminal history
  • Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for the 1 July 2014 – 30 June 2017 period
  • Recency of Practice
  • Professional indemnity insurance arrangements.

If you have successfully passed an ACEM audit during this period, AHPRA will accept the Certificate of Compliance, however we have been informed they will be auditing the full three-year cycle, so it is likely you will still have to comply with some AHPRA audit requirements.
