A FACEM since 1998, Dr Oakley has specialised in Paediatric Emergency Medicine since 2003, and has also served on the College's Council of Advocacy, Practice and Partnerships, as well as the Victorian Faculty Board.
ACEM President Dr Clare Skinner said, “It is fantastic to see a skilled, highly experienced and caring FACEM in such a critical leadership position. This appointment showcases the depth of leadership talent in the emergency medicine community, and the valued role of FACEMs leading the health system through the COVID-19 pandemic, and beyond.”
Dr Oakley will commence the role in February 2022.
