Paul is an Emergency Physician who currently works in NW Tasmania following a career working across NSW, the NT and QLD.
He is an advocate for equitable access to emergency health care and passionate in particular about rural/remote health and indigenous health, areas where he has been active over the years within ACEM. He was previously a DEMT for many years at Coffs Harbour and in 2015 was the AMA/ASMOF teacher of the year in NSW.
Currently, Paul works part time across both NW Regional Hospital and Mersey Community Hospital and devotes much out-of-work energy to his off grid property in rural Tasmania. He also enjoys hiking and is determined to become a trout fisherman.
