The Tasmanian Project aims to support approved speciality training to be undertaken and completed in Tasmania and support the training and retention of specialist doctors in the Tasmanian health system. This investment must contribute to the sustainability of speciality training and supervisory posts for Tasmania and the delivery of high quality health services to the Tasmanian community.
ACEM currently facilitates six trainee posts, along with complementary supervisory positions in Tasmanian Emergency Departments.

Tasmanian Project funding
The Tasmanian Project is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health under the Specialist Training Program (STP).
All STP programs operate under the STP Operational Framework.
Current funding agreements with health settings for the Tasmanian Project are for the 2022 and 2023 academic training years.
There are no New Post applications being accepted for the Tasmanian Project posts in 2022.
