The coronavirus (COVID-19) situation is rapidly evolving. For the latest from the College visit

Suzanne was born in Hobart and spent her childhood in Tasmania. She graduated from the University of Tasmania in 1990.

Suzanne has subsequently enjoyed a varied career, commencing with her intern year in 1991 in the Australian Capital Territory and gained a Fellowship in general practice in 2000.

On moving to rural New South Wales in 2002, she had the opportunity to work in an ED, and it was this involvement which enticed her into an EM career. "I enjoy EM because I can mix clinical medicine with the challenges of administration on a day-to-day basis in a busy tertiary centre."

Suzanne completed a Masters in Health Administration in 2006, and has thrived on the challenges of administration at various levels within the hospital. She sees her involvement with the College as an expansion of these skills.
