Invitation/Introduction

Te Rōpū Manaaki Mana invite you to register for the Manaaki Mana Kaikōkiri Hui to be held in Gisborne from Thursday 27 to Friday 28 October 2022.

Following our 2021 Ngā Ara ki te Taumata o Pae Ora virtual hui, and with feedback on our He Ara Tiatia ki te Taumata o Pae Ora & Te Tiriti documents, we are currently working towards refreshing the Te Rautaki Manaaki Mana. We look forward to continuing our discussion as to how we can achieve our vision.

We will be bringing together Manaaki Mana kaikōkiri champions from emergency departments around Aoteaora. We also welcome key partners to join Te Rōpū Manaaki Mana for an immersive experience in Te Ao Māori (the Māori world), dive into our Ngā Uara (values) and our vision for excellence and equity for Māori in emergency care. There will also be a range of workshops and speakers on topics of interest to Māori whānau and emergency department staff.

Registration includes the marae stay on Thursday night as well as kai (food) and entertainment, however delegates can opt to make alternative accommodation arrangements around Tūranga-nui-a-Kiwa (Gisborne). It is encouraged and all are welcome, including children, to stay onsite at the Te-Poho-o-Rawiri Marae Thursday 27 October. Further details to come regarding tikanga (cultural etiquette) and what to bring. More information regarding activity registration will be shared shortly.
