Fellows will be invited to vote on these changes from 6 May to 4 June 2019. This vote will be conducted via online ballot, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution (clause 6.9).

The changes are intended to reduce barriers to participation on the ACEM Board and, if approved, will lead to changes in the composition and structure of the Board.

The proposed changes are to:

  • remove the positions of Deputy Chair of CAPP and Deputy Chair of COE from the composition of the Board (incumbent members will complete their current term, being November 2019 and November 2020, respectively);
  • create two positions on the ACEM Board to be filled by FACEMs appointed from the general membership; and
  • appoint a non-College member to the ACEM Board as a community representative.
