The vote will open on Monday 6 May 2019 and close at 5:00pm (AEST) on Tuesday 4 June 2019.
Fellows of the College will be invited to vote on two resolutions. Trainees and other College members are not eligible to vote on this matter.
- Remove the Deputy Chair of CAPP and the Deputy Chair of COE as members of the ACEM Board, with the incumbents to serve out their current terms (November 2019 and November 2020, respectively).
- Create two Board positions for general FACEM members, appointed appointed via a nominations process.
If this resolution is approved, FACEMs will be invited to submit an Expression of Interest to join the Board, with the EOIs received assessed by a new entity, the Board Nominations Committee, which will make recommendations to the Board.
Terms of Reference for the Board Nominations Committee will be made available to the Fellowship on 6 May 2019.
- Appoint a non-College member to the ACEM Board as a community representative.
A full paper on these Resolutions will be made available when the vote opens on 6 May 2019.
Each resolution will only pass if 75% of those Fellows who vote approve the resolution.
