Laksmi is a public health physician, a late phase ACEM Advanced Trainee, and the current ACEM Trainee Committee Chair. She is the Victorian ACEM Trainee Rep and the Trainee Rep on ACEM's Public Health and Disaster Committee. She is currently supported by an ACEM scholarship to undertake PhD research with Swinburne University exploring Gender and Leadership Development in Emergency Medicine.
