The Beth Christian Scholarship is established in honour of Dr Beth Christian, FACEM, to promote the links between the emergency medicine community in Australia and the United Kingdom.
This policy governs the awarding of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) Beth Christian Scholarship (the Scholarship). The Scholarship is established in honour of Dr Beth Christian, FACEM, to promote the links between the emergency medicine community in Australia and the United Kingdom.
Beth was a passionate emergency physician who trained in Australia and subsequently worked predominantly in the United Kingdom. She was enthusiastic about her practice and teaching of emergency medicine on both sides of the world and believed each could learn from the other. The Scholarship will enable trainees to undertake a period of training - a Scholarship Post - in the other country.
The Scholarship is funded by bequest and donation.
